One Love

I've kind of slacked on my privilege to post on this blog, so here goes:
A friend of mine posted this on her page today. Kind of amazing the power of music all around the world.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Can i get your number?

Okay so this is for my single friends. A coworker and I figured out that there is more to approaching someone of the opposite sex than just thinking they are hot.

Like first, know your number. On a scale from 1 to 10 how are you in the looks department? Its unlikely you are a ten so stop approaching tens! Also do the same for your personality 1 - 10. If you are an 8 in looks but you feel like the way others react to you means your personality needs work, then dont approach an 8 either. Try maybe approaching a six. Average out your two numbers and i promise there are plenty of options out there for you. But its up to YOU to actually say something. Say anything. Compliments are a great place to start. I hope this leads to some much more successful dates. Have fun!

Forever as One

I have watched this video before almost every workout for the last six months. I think its great motivation to get in that winning mindset. "The Zone". Wait till it gets to about 2:30, thats when it really pumps me up. Is it an effective tool? Well i cant say it made my muscles grow, but it did give me some added drive and my 15" biceps back in January are now 16.5". You be the judge:

Stress Less

Just as a stress to your muscles takes a lil bit at a time to make them strong, emotional stress is the same. In order to get to the point when you can manage a lot of stress you have to exercise your emotions with smaller amounts of stress and regularly. Here are some good insights to help deal with your next stressful situation:

Lean Mean Apple Machine

I dont know why the iPhone gets such a bad rap as the latest fad. In fact it is my pick for most effective time saving device. It has streamlined my life. I work with engineers all day whose main job is the cut time down in processes and in the physical steps it takes to do something. This is called "Lean". Time equals money so the fewer steps involved, especially travel time, the more time = money is saved.
Out having coffee and need movie times? Its GPS will locate all the closest theaters and allow you to purchase tickets. Now you know how long you have to finish that coffee. At a play and remember you had to send that important e-mail? No problem. Get in a dispute and need to look up the name of the actor playing James T. Kirk in the new Star Trek flick? IMDB him right then and there. Booyah. No matter where you are the iPhone is the most user friendly way onto the net and it is in your pocket. I value my time like money so everytime i dont have to make that trip back across town i thank God. Then I thank Apple, haha. If you dont have one yet the new one is out in another month or so, get it!

Life, by Spencer Troxell

At a certain point
You put your head down.
Not in defeat,
But to work.
You put your shoulders into it.
You make your calves ache.
When you were little,
Your face was a full moon
Receptacle: a plate to catch rain.
Now your face catches sweat
Streaming in dirt
Down from your hat band.
You are building something
You will never complete,
And that is the way it should be.

7 Habits

I still highly suggest reading the book. This book has helped me exponentially! Covey actually studied over 200 years worth of the worlds greatest leaders and noticed they all had these 7 things in common:
